What We Offer
AP Physics Courses
AP Physics 1:
An algebra-based course that explores mechanics, including kinematics, dynamics, energy, and momentum. Students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills through hands-on experiments and real-world applications.
AP Physics 2:
Building on the foundations of AP Physics 1, this course covers fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, electricity, magnetism, and optics. Students apply scientific principles to solve complex problems and analyze data.
AP Physics C: Mechanics:
A calculus-based course that focuses on advanced mechanics topics, including kinematics, dynamics, energy, and momentum. Students develop a deep understanding of physical principles and mathematical models.
AP Physics C:
Electricity and Magnetism: A calculus-based course that explores advanced topics in electricity and magnetism, including electrostatics, circuits, and magnetic fields. Students apply mathematical models to analyze complex electrical and magnetic phenomena.
AP Math Courses
AP Calculus AB:
An introductory calculus course that covers limits, derivatives, integrals, and the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus. Students develop problem-solving skills and apply calculus to real-world problems.
AP Calculus BC
A more advanced calculus course that builds on the foundations of AP Calculus AB. Topics include parametric and polar functions, vector calculus, and advanced integration techniques. Students develop a deep understanding of calculus concepts and their applications.
AP Statistics:
A course that introduces students to the principles of statistics, including data analysis, probability, and inference. Students learn to collect and analyze data, make informed decisions, and communicate results effectively.
AP Biology
A course that explores advanced topics in biology, including molecular biology, genetics, evolution, and ecology. Students develop a deep understanding of biological principles and processes, and apply scientific inquiry skills to investigate complex biological phenomena.
Why It Matters
These course descriptions highlight the different approaches and focus areas of our AP Math and Calculus programs, helping students choose the course that best matches their academic level, learning style, and college readiness goals.
